Troy’s Rose Byrne

When I first saw this actress, I was amazed at the potential. She wore her heart on her sleeve, always had a slightly sad look on her face, and was the stabilizing force in the movies I have seen her in. Enter Rose Byrne. Her first hollywood movie was Star Wars: Attack of the Clone as the handmaiden Dorme. She has already been mentioned in this blog. She also plays the Trojan priestess Briseis in the movie Troy. However, I didn’t think much of her until I saw the movie Sunshine, also already talked about on this blog. In Sunshine, she plays Cassie, the pilot of the Icarus 2. She is also the second to last survivor. However, the most interesting feature whenever you see her in a movie is mentioned in an interview with one of her directors: “Once the camera starts rolling, she slips into character. Once it stops, she just drifts away.” The other really cool thing about her is her facial expressions. Unlike other actors/ actresses, her face is quite readable in all situations. This makes her a character one can identify with far better than the actors from, say, Twilight… Here is a link to a database of photos. Photos below are sorta jumbled, but still interesting. They are taken from screen captures, and various photoshoots, and press conferences.
